Barcelona defender, Gerard Pique, has claimed they lost to the “worst Real Madrid he has faced at the Bernabeu”, following their 2-0 defeat on Sunday night.

Real overtook Barca on the LaLiga table, thanks to goals from Vinicius Junior and Mariano Diaz.

Pique, speaking to reporters after the game, said he was surprised at how poorly the hosts played in the first half.

“Real Madrid in the first half was the worst Madrid I’ve faced at the Bernabeu.

“We missed a chance to hurt them.

“We have to play better than in second half, though, we lost balls and they grew in confidence,” he said.
