Nelson Mandela’s third wife, Graca Machel has shown solidarity with Muhammadu Sanusi II who got dethroned as the Emir of Kano.

Sanusi was dethroned on Monday by the Kano State government led by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje.

He has since been replaced by Aminu Ado Bayero who was last year installed as the Emir of Bichi.

In her letter to Sanusi, Graca Machel expressed worries over his situation which sees him placed under house arrest in Nasarawa State.

She also assured him that he’s not alone in the struggle for an end to corruption and social ills on Nigeria.
