Reno Omokri, a popular social media commentator and self-styled “Buhari tormentor” has stated that in democracy, people don’t pray for the kind of leaders they want but pay for the kind of leader they have.

Speaking via his verified Twitter handle, Omokri further explained that people pay for the kind of leader because they voted the leader with their own hands.

He wrote:

In a democracy, you don’t PRAY for the type of leaders you want. You PAY for the type of leaders you have. Because you voted for them with your own hands. They were not given to you by God. Stop asking God to do what He already empowered you to do#BuhariTormentor
