A 37-year-old civil servant has been sentenced to life imprisonment for raping a minor in Abuja.

The man, Francis Yusuf Kyamang was on Tuesday handed the sentence by FCT High Court in Abuja.

He was found guilty by Justice Hassan Babangida after it was also proved beyond reasonable doubt that he raped the 17-year-old girl.

Francis Yusuf Kyamang, however, had nothing to say concerning why he did the unholy act to his niece.
