1) Fikayo Tomori (21 Years old)

It so sad we will never see this guy in a Super Eagles jersey

Rising from Chelsea’s academy to first team, Tomori has become a fixture at the heart of the Blues defense. Assured & consistent, he has delivered when many expected little of him for a defender in his learning phase. Maybe that transfer ban was a good thing after all!

Manager Frank Lampard knows this guy is for the future.

2) Gabriel Martinelli (18 Years old)

He scores when he wants!

Give Martinelli some space and he will punish you. He is the top scoring teenager for a top-five European league club this season, netting seven goals in just seven appearances in all competitions. 

Even Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp was pleased when the Brazilian faced his team in the Carabao cup.

“Martinelli’s pretty much the same age but he’s a talent of the century, he’s an incredible striker.”

3) Jadon Sancho (19 Years old)

While he started his football days in Watford & Man City, his talent was exposed when he made a big decision to leave England for Dortmund in 2017. It was arguably the right decision.

Sancho was named in the 2018–19 Bundesliga Team of the Season after banging 12 goals and providing 14 assists. He recently won the DFL Cup for his club last august after scoring and assisting in a hard fought victory over Bayern Munich.

4) Joao Felix (19 Years old)

Compared to the likes of Kaka & Rui Costa, Felix can play as a striker, second striker or from the flanks. He is really gifted!

The youngster guided his former team Benfica to the title in his first season with them, winning the Primeira Liga’s Best Young Player of the Year.

It would also interest you to know that at just 19, Felix is the youngest ever player to score a hat-trick in the UEFA Europa League. No wonder Atletico Madrid splashed £113 million to get him.

5) Mason Mount (20 Years old)

As observed earlier, the transfer ban for Chelsea is really a blessing in disguise.

Frank Lampard must be delighted to have promoted Mount to the first team from the academy. He has brought in creativity to Chelseá’s midfield and has an eye for goal. His exploits also caught the eyes of England manager Gareth Southgate who invited him to the senior squad.

6) Ansu Fati (17 Years old)

Almost every footballer will jump at the chance to play for a big club like Barcelona, Ansu is living the dream at just 17.

In late August this year, he scored his first professional goal in Barcelona’s 2 – 2 draw with Osasuna at the age of 16 years and 304 days, becoming Barcelona senior team’s youngest goalscorer ever and the third-youngest scorer in the history of La Liga. Amazing!

7) Matteo Guendouzi (20 Years old)

A young boy ready to give everything for the team, Guendouzi has become a first team player despite competition for places in Arsenal’s jam-packed midfield. Unai Emery loves something about him.

In September, he was also called up to the France international squad to replace Pogba.

8) Phil Foden (19 Years old)

9) Daniel James (21 Years old)

10) Tammy Abraham (22 Years old)

After several loan spells in which he scored a lot of goals, most notably 25 goals in a single campaign for Aston Villa, Abraham finally got his chance at Chelsea where he got the No. 9 shirt, and has since not looked back.

So far he has 9 goals in 15 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea this season.
