Nigeria survived a late rally, to beat host Senegal 60-55 and retain the Women Afrobasket title in Dakar.

The D’Tigress looked to be coasting home after the third quarter, after winning 10-4, 14-10 and 32-24 respectively.

But the Senegalese came back strong in the last quarter to take a brief lead.

However, the Nigerians rallied back to win the game, despite losing the final quarter to the hosts.

D’Tigress have now won four Afrobasket titles in total.
